Frequently Asked Questions
Vedic Maths is a system of mathematics that originated in India and is based on the ancient knowledge, all that we are learning are based on 16 volumes of book one for each sutra which is written by Swami Bharati Krishna Tirtha. Vedic Mathematics is based on rational and logical reasoning
Vedic Maths can help improve mental agility, speed, and accuracy. It can also help develop logical skills and boost confidence. Students will become strong in maths after learning vedic maths. When a person is strong in maths, naturally they will be able to understand all subjects.
Anyone can learn Vedic maths, in my experience I have seen better results for kids who starts from class 3 (grade 3)
Number names for 1, 2 digits is required. Basic addition of small numbers is sufficient

- Arithmetic Operations:
Vedic Maths offers efficient techniques for performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately. - Algebra:
Vedic Maths provides methods for simplifying algebraic expressions, solving equations, and working with polynomials more effectively. - Geometry:
Techniques from Vedic Maths can be used to solve geometric problems, calculate areas, volumes, and work with angles and shapes. - Trigonometry:
Vedic Maths principles can aid in trigonometric calculations, identities, and solving trigonometric equations with ease. - Calculus:
While Vedic Maths may not directly apply to advanced calculus, the mental calculation skills and logical reasoning developed through Vedic techniques can still benefit calculus problem-solving. - Probability and Statistics:
Vedic Maths can help in simplifying probability calculations, working with data sets, and understanding statistical concepts efficiently. - Competitive Exams:
Vedic Maths techniques are particularly useful for competitive exams that require quick calculations and problem-solving skills, such as SAT, GMAT, CAT, etc.
I teach for kids which is required for them to excel in school and competitive exams.
I teach 2 programs called Junior Vedic maths (JVM) and Senior Vedic maths (SVM). JVM has 3 levels, SVM has 4 levels
Kids studying grade 3 to 5 can learn JVM
Kids studying from grade 6 can learn SVM
No, it will not be an over load, but will help students to understand and score well in school academic’s when kid is practicing Vedic maths, because whatever they learn it would be somewhat aligned with school syllabus.
In fact, I have seen kids starts scoring better in school after learning Vedic maths.
I can help kids if they have questions or if they are not able to understand. I have programs where I cover Vedic maths alone and another program where I cover Vedic maths + school maths for kids. It depends on individual preference
Collectively I see students start performing better when they learn and practices Vedic maths.
Students on average take 6 months to complete one level. It all depends upon the practices what they do, I also have students who take 2 to 3 months to complete a level or even 7 to 8 months to complete a level, it all depends upon how much students are practising and focusing. We should not pressurize students to complete within any time frame because they should learn naturally in their speed for them to excel in maths. Since the concepts that they learn in school will be used for their entire life time, its best to allow them to learn in their pace.
